Immediate Services
After someone has been raped or sexually assaulted we offer the following services:
- Forensic medical examination by a specialist female doctor. This examination will be carried out as sympathetically as possible, and can be undertaken whether the police are involved or not.
The examination may include pregnancy testing and emergency contraception, where appropriate, at the time of referral. - Support will be available from trained staff when you attend the centre.
- Screening for sexually transmitted infections can also be arranged by the centre.
